Edward Vince is a London-based artist with a BA in Industrial Design from Central Saint Martins and is currently studying for an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art.
His practice begins with meticulously sourced and curated collections of materials, artefacts, and imagery, complemented by original photography and writing.
Drawing upon his extensive background as an advertising Creative Director for major international brands, Vince critically examines the intersections of globalisation, production methodologies, consumer culture, and the psychological and physiological consequences of contemporary capitalism.
His sculptures function as allegories for society's complex relationship with consumption and disposability. Through thoughtful material transformation, Vince proposes that just as discarded elements can be reimagined with renewed significance and purpose, humanity might likewise discover more sustainable and meaningful modes of existence beyond the constraints of how we live today.
